Q: Is there really a market for script
consultants?
A: More than ever before. With
over 50,000 scripts registered with the WGA each year (and
at least twice as many written that aren’t registered),
and close to a million books written each year, there is a
serious need for consultants who can help these people shape
their stories for the big and small screen. In addition, there
is the multi-billion dollar video game industry, creating
more and more story-driven games (in need of consultants),
and the corporate and educational fields that are implementing
more and more story-driven workshops, seminars, products,
and videos. They all need help. And they pay well!

Q: But do writers really need script consultants?
A: Just like an entrepreneur
who’s written a business plan for a multi-million dollar
business, or an architect who’s created a blueprint
for a multi-million dollar building, would both use consultants
to make sure their material is the best it can be –
writers need to treat their script (the business plan/blueprint
for a multi-million dollar business called a movie) the same
way! The writers who treat their careers like a real business
– and invest their time and money accordingly –
are the most successful! It’s not a mystery, it’s
just common sense
Q: Can I really be successful as a script
consultant if I’m not a screenwriter – or not
a very good one?
A: Absolutely. Most of the
top consultants are not writers. Linda Seger, considered the
‘mother of script consulting’ has never written
a script – but has consulted on over 2,000 screenplays
and commands several thousand dollars per script! In fact,
one of the most exciting aspects of this growing field is
the possibility for non-writers with unique backgrounds or
knowledge bases to create successful niche businesses consulting
on film and TV projects dealing with their expertise.

Q: I’m a professional in another field (medical,
legal, law enforcement, military, educational, science, etc.).
Can I become a consultant on screenplays and movies that deal
with my specialty?
A: Like I’ve already
mentioned, this is one of the most exciting aspects of this
business. If you have a unique background or knowledge base,
you could be a huge asset on scripts and films that address
your expertise. And it gives you an immediate hook to market
yourself – which is essential to success. Even if you
don’t have a unique background, you need to come up
with a unique angle or USP (unique selling proposition) to
grab the attention of the marketplace – and we’ll
teach you exactly how to do it in our courses!

Q: Is it really possible to earn 6-figures as a script
consultant?
A: Did you read those statistics
above? Did you see how many people are out there in need of
these kinds of services? There are well over a million prospects
in any given year – and the surface has not even been
scratched. If you did just a few consultant jobs a week (at
a market-average cost of $700 each), and took four full weeks
off for vacation, you’d still end up with an annual
salary of $100,800! But let’s break this down further.
The average in-depth analysis job takes about a day’s
work, sometimes less. So based on the above numbers, you can
earn 6-figures working part time! For a more detailed description
of how this works, sign up for the teleseminar, “How
to Make 6 Figures as a Script Consultant.”

Q: What will you teach me in these courses?
A: Over a hundred combined
years worth of knowledge, wisdom, and insight into how to
be a successful script consultant. We’ll teach you how
to analyze scripts, how to give powerful feedback, how to
work with clients, how to find your niche, create a marketing
plan, and execute it. And so much more!

Q: What if I’m a screenwriter or executive in
Hollywood and I don’t want to become a professional
Script Consultant? Does this course have something to offer
me?
A: You can take the first part
of the course, “How to Analyze a Script Like a Pro,”
and it will take your script evaluation skills to a whole
new level! As a screenwriter, this is invaluable knowledge.
Not only will it help you to evaluate your own script and
rewrite it better than ever before, it will help you take
quantum leaps in your screenwriting ability. Perhaps more
importantly, it will show you how to write in a way that pleases
the Hollywood Gatekeepers -- those readers and development
execs who judge whether or not your material ever gets to
the next level! What’s more, if you do decide to take
the entire course, it will arm you with incredible skills
at self-promotion and marketing, finding your voice, and developing
a clear career plan!
Q: Once I’ve completed the certification
course, will you help me get work as a consultant?
A: This is one of the most
exciting parts of the Script Consultant Institute. All certified
script consultants, who have fulfilled an internship, are
eligible to become part of our paid staff at The Script Clinic
-- a full-service script consulting firm. And you don’t
have to come into the office, you can live anywhere to do
this! Of course, we can’t guarantee you’ll get
a job, but we will do everything we can to prepare you for
this exciting opportunity. And here’s another thing
-- you won’t find this kind of opportunity anywhere
else!
Q: What makes you better than the competition
offering these kinds of courses?
A: There is no competition!
As of this writing, we are the only place on the planet where
you can get this training. We are the only place you can learn
how to master the art of story analysis, become a script consultant,
and build a script consulting business capable of earning
6-figures! But even if we weren’t the only one, we’re
confident that we’d still be the best. We’ve just
put so much time and energy in this, and it’s backed
by over a hundred years of combined knowledge, wisdom, and
experience. But if you do hear of someone else teaching this,
or think we could do it better, please let us know. We are
constantly striving to give the best possible information
and service.
